My Rights
I reserve the right to decline or cancel a commission for any reason. Should a commission be cancelled by my decision before it is complete, a refund will be provided based on the percentage of work completed. The downpayment made will NOT be refunded.
I reserve the right to edit or update these terms of service without notice. The commissioner will be bound to the terms of service they agreed to at time of commission, and not to future iterations.
I reserve the right to post photos of your completed suit to my portfolio, update channels, and social media platforms. Whether or not these photos are attached to the commissioner’s social media handles or name is decided upon commissioning.
I reserve the right to edit and resell a suit in the case of a cancellation or refund requested or forced by the commissioner. I will ensure it is not resembling the original character before reselling.
Your Rights
You have the right to request changes during the commission process, including but not limited to: the shape of any parts, the shapes of markings and the sizes of markings or parts. If the change is requested after a marking has been approved in the patterning stage, additional charges may incur for additional materials and time spent.

Age Requirement
As my payments are done through PayPal, all commissioners MUST be 18 or older to commission me. When commissioning, I will require ID with your birthdate and name with a piece of paper with your social media handle or email written on it next to the ID. You may black out all other information. ID photos and private information will be deleted after down payment for the commission is received.
Quotes
Quotes are always open and are able to be provided upon request through my quote form. It will be an accurate estimate of the price of your suit based on colors, markings, and add-ons. It may not match the prices found on the prices page, as the prices listed are the base prices.
Quotes remain valid for 6 months. After this time period, you must request a new quote to be able to commission me.
Quotes do NOT guarantee your commission will be accepted. They are for you to be able to see what a suit from me would cost and allow for budgeting. A quote is REQUIRED to commission me.
For suits that are NOT made with a custom design by me or are NOT designated as artistic liberty, a clear reference sheet with MINIMUM front and back views is required when submitting for a quote.
References/Concept Art
ANY AND ALL AI-GENERATED REFERENCES WILL RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE BLACKLIST. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.
A 2-view (font and back) reference is the MINIMUM required reference to commission Crown Cryptid Studios. A 3-view (front, back, and side) reference is preferred.
References must be SFW (safe for work) and must not contain inappropriate material, even if commissioning a suit with an SPH (specially placed hole). Suits with extra NSFW parts may require additional references upon request.
References must be UNSHADED with clear colors and markings. Color-to-part identification is preferred (labelling which colors go to which part of the character) but not required.
Details such as pawpads, inside of mouth, tongue, eye, teeth, and claws are required to be on your reference sheet.
If your ref sheet becomes outdated after the commission is taken on, an updated ref sheet must be provided ASAP and any changes to progress already made may require additional payment.
Should the commission be artistic liberty or a custom design by me, a sketch/concept reference will be provided to the commissioner before work is started. These must be approved, and cannot be changed after materials being ordered.
Measurements/Duct Tape Dummies
For any bodysuit, a duct tape dummy (otherwise known as a DTD) of the commissioner is REQUIRED. I will not make any bodysuit without a DTD. Work on bodysuits cannot be started without a DTD, even if the commissioner has paid in full. If you are unsure how to make a DTD, this video by SpiltGrapeSoda has excellent instructions on how to do so.
For any head, I require head height measurements, head circumference measurements, and some measurements regarding the eyes. More detailed information is provided on these measurements and how to conduct them upon commission.
For handpaws, depending on the style commissioned I may require measurements, a tracing of your hand, or both. More detail on how to conduct these measurements is provided on commission.
For feetpaws, I will require your shoe size in either US Men’s or US Women’s.
For all parts, work CANNOT be started until the respective measurements are received.
Payment & Payment Plans
I DO NOT ACCEPT ANY FORM OF CRYPTOCURRENCY. IF YOU ATTEMPT TO PAY YOUR COMMISSION WITH CRYPTOCURRENCY, IT WILL BE IMMEDIATELY REFUNDED AND YOU WILL BE BLACKLISTED.
All prices are in USD and payment will be processed in USD.
All payment is done through PayPal. An invoice will be sent from [email protected] to the commissioner’s provided email for the commission.
To commission, a downpayment of 30% of the total price of the commission is REQUIRED. This downpayment is NONREFUNDABLE and goes directly towards materials for your suit and confirming your slot in my queue. It must be paid within 7 days of the invoice being sent, otherwise your commission will be cancelled.
Payment may be done in full upfront or via a payment plan over time. Payment plans are discussed on a case-by-case basis with each commissioner and are not to exceed 6 months.
Payment plans will typically be done via an invoice that can be paid in parts, allowing the commissioner to put money towards the commission as they are able to. It will have a due date of 6 months after commissioning. A monthly price will also be calculated based on the price paid upfront and remaining cost and a reminder will be sent monthly regarding payment plans for commissioners who have not completed payment.
All payment MUST be received before the suit or part(s) are delivered to the commissioner. If all payment is not received within 6 months of suit or part completion, I reserve the right to cancel the commission, and edit and resell the suit/part(s).
Projects that are paid in full take priority over projects that are not paid in full. If you would like your commission to be higher up in the queue, ensure to pay it upfront or as quickly as possible. Commissioners who have paid in full first will be first in the queue.
Refunds & Cancellations
THE 30% DOWNPAYMENT PAID FOR MATERIALS AND YOUR SLOT WILL NEVER BE REFUNDED.
If a refund is requested partway through the commission process, the amount refunded will be determined based on the amount of work done on the suit and the amount paid by the commissioner at that point in time.
Cancellations are NON-REVERSIBLE. If you choose to cancel your commission and request a refund, work will not be resumed on the project at a later date. If you decide to commission me a second time, a new downpayment and quote will be required.
Refunds will NOT be issued once the suit is completed. If the commissioner is unhappy with the result, we can work to make changes to correct it or the commissioner may resell the suit after receiving it.
Refunds will NOT be issued after the commissioner has received the suit. If there are damages, fit issues, or other concerns, the commissioner should get in contact with me to figure out a solution.
Shipping/Receiving Your Fursuit
Shipping costs are paid by the commissioner after the suit is completed. Since shipping prices vary greatly by date, location of delivery, and size of the package, it cannot be calculated before the suit is completed. Once a shipping price is calculated, an invoice will be sent to the commissioner for the shipping price. The suit will be shipped upon payment of the shipping price.
Shipping can be done through USPS, UPS, or Fedex. Typically, I will choose the option that is the least expensive, but if the commissioner has a preference for the shipping company, they may choose who the completed suit is shipped through. This information MUST be communicated before the shipping label is purchased.
I WILL ship internationally, however all fees (i.e. extra shipping fees and/or customs fees) are to be paid by the customer and may be very expensive. If you are based outside of the United States, I must be informed upon commissioning.
If we are both attending the same convention and the suit is completed, I will do at-con deliveries. This must be discussed earlier in the commission if this is an option the commissioner is interested in.
Turn Around Times & Deadlines
My standard turnaround time from the beginning of construction is 2-6 months depending on the type of suit commissioned. This may vary based on my current queue and where in the queue the commissioner is placed.
When added to my queue, I will give an estimate of completion time (i.e. “End of May” or “Fall 2026”). My queue will also be sent directly to the commissioner to be able to track their place. Each card in the queue has a personal deadline that I would like to have the suit done by.
I do NOT do guaranteed deadlines. If there is an event, convention, or date the commissioner would like their suit by, I must be informed ahead of time. I will do my best to meet this date, however depending on my queue, shipping times (for both materials and the suit), travel, illness, or other circumstances, completion by the requested date may not be guaranteed.
Repairs & Warranty
For the first 6 months after receiving the suit, all repairs are free. The commissioner must pay shipping costs to and from my studio. Repairs may include popped seams, bald spots in the fur, or ill-fitting parts. If the suit needs a repair outside of these things, it must be discussed prior to shipping the suit to me.
If a large amount of material is required for the repair, a fee may be charged for material cost.
Free repairs do NOT cover refurbishments or other extreme changes.
The warranty does NOT cover damages caused by misuse or improper care of the suit.
The warranty will be voided if there are alterations made by someone other than me, if the suit is sold or given to a third party, or improper care or use of the suit.
After the warranty expires, all repairs or alterations must be paid for. Cost will depend on the repair or alteration being made and will be quoted at the time it is requested.
ALL SUITS THAT ARE RETURNED FOR REPAIRS OR ALTERATIONS MUST BE WASHED AND DRIED PRIOR TO SHIPPING. IF YOUR SUIT IS DIRTY, A CLEANING FEE MAY BE APPLIED OR THE REPAIR MAY BE POSTPONED/CANCELLED UNTIL THE SUIT IS CLEANED BY THE COMMISSIONER.
WIPs/Photos/Social Media
Work in progress (WIP) photos and updates will be sent to the commissioner regularly as progress is made on their suit via their messaging platform of choice (Telegram, Discord, Twitter, Instagram, Bluesky, Email).
WIPs are posted to my Telegram Update Channel regularly as well as less frequently to my social media (Twitter, Instagram, Bluesky). If the commissioner would like their suit to remain a secret or to have their WIPs kept private, that must be made known upon commissioning me. Finished photos of the completed suit will be posted publicly.
If the commissioner does not want their suit attached to their name/social media, I must be informed at the time of commissioning. The suit will be referenced either with the name of the character or by a more vague description of the suit that still allows it to be identified by myself and the commissioner (i.e. “Custom Design Fullsuit” or “Blue Canine Mini Partial”).
Completed photos of suits I create are added to my gallery/website/portfolio. If the commissioner would like these photos kept private, that must be discussed at time of commissioning.
Liability
Crown Cryptid Studios is not liable for any injury or damage that may occur during use of the commissioner’s suit. This includes but is not limited to: heat stroke/exhaustion, dehydration, tripping, falling, etc. By purchasing and wearing a fursuit, the commissioner accepts responsibility for the risks associated with performing in a costume.
Allergies/Pets
Crown Cryptid Studios operates out of a household with a Cockatiel that produces a lot of dust. The bird is not allowed on supplies or in-progress commissions to prevent damage. If you are severely allergic to pet dander or dust, it may be in your best interest to commission a maker from a pet-free household.
